Durham ??? Mr. John Joseph Fitzgerald, 64, died unexpectedly at his home on October 20, 2016, and has left us to join his son Eddie ineeaven. John was born and raised in the Bronx, NY to the late Edward Francis aneelvira Callahan Fitzgerald.?? John and his family relocated to Croton-On-Hudson, NY, at the age of 11.?? John was employed for many years in the Informationeechnology industry.?? He was an avid photographer and artist, and a very experienced and talented wood-worker. John is survived by his wife, Anne McAllister Fitzgerald of the home; son, Shawn Fitzgerald, and his wife, Kerry, of Wilmington, NC; adoring granddaughters, Macie, Ella and Avery Fitzgerald; sisters, Cathy Fitzgerald, Estelle Calcutti, Celie Fitzgerald, all of Croton-On-Hudson, NY, Trisha Miller, of Virginia Beach, VA; and his best friend and loyal companion, Harley Fitzgerald, his black Labrador. A memorial service for John will be held on Monday evening, October 24, 2016 at 7:00pm in the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.?? A visitation will be held prior to the service from 5:30-7:00 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of one???s choice.
