John Martin Stepp

John Martin Stepp, 50, died Tuesday, May 2, 2012 at home. John was born March 2, 1962 in Cleveland, OH to Berman and Mary Blankenship Stepp. He is survived by his fianeeacute;e Amanda J. Russell, his son Jonathan Stepp of Denton, NC; one sister Pamela J. Stepp of Denton, NC; two brothers James M. Stepp, Sr. and Michael Stepp, Sr. both of Denton, NC and his parents Berman and Mary Stepp of Denton, NC. John is also survived by Amanda's children whom he loved, Jett Russell, Gryphon Russell and Phoenix Russell. He is also survived by many aunts, unees, nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Sherman and Donzil Blankenship of Oceana, WV; His paternal grandparents, Marvineerman Stepp of Ohio and Mary Elizabeth Meade Ridgeway of Trinity, NC. John was a 1981 graduate of Trinity High School and also a graduate of Randolph County Community College. He owned his own upholstery business for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman aneenjoyed spending time with his animals. A Funeral Service will be offered 8:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2012 at Dentoneesleyan Church, 16345 S NC Highway 109 Denton, NC 27239 with the Reverend Charles Moses, presiding. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM prior to the service at Dentoneesleyan Church, 16345 S NC Highway 109 Denton, NC 27239. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in John's nee may be made to Berman and Mary Stepp 818 Surratt Road Denton, NC 27239, to assist with funeral expenses.
