Johnee Bailey Guthrie

GUTHRIE Mrs. Johnee Bailey Guthrie, 74, resident of 5357 N. Roxboro Road, died Friday afternoon at her home. Johnee was born in Durham, the daughter of the late Roy K. and Ida Mae Nifong Bailey. She was a 1953 graduate of Durham High School. Her first employment was with the Durham Hosiery Mill. Johnee later was employed with the Durham Redevelopment Commission. Her last employment was with the City of Durham in the Planning Department. Johnee and her husband, Jimmy, have beeneembers of the WBBCI Travel Club since 1977 and have enjoyed traveling in their motor home all over the U.S and Canada. Johnee was a member of Northgate Chapel. Surviving is her husband of 54 years, James E. Guthrie, one niece and five nephews. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday at Northgate Chapel. Presiding will be Evangelist Robert Adcock aneevangelist Mark Hartly. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 PM Sunday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home.
