Joseph Alphonse Lewis Stabile

Joseph Lewis Stabile, 66, of Pittsboro died October 3, 2010 at UNC Hospitals. Born ineew York oneecember 11, 1943, he was the son of Alphonse Lewis Stabile and Pauline Harap Stabile. Joe served in the US Army during the Viet Nam war, and was a retired detective from the New York City Police Department. He relocated to the Pittsboro area in 1995. He is survived by his wife, Lillian LoPresti Stabile; daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Ken Vogel; grandchildren, Natalie and Brenden; brother, Lewis Stabile of New Jersey; sister, Mary D'Alba of New York. Friends may visit with the family from 4 6 pm Thursday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro. Following visitation, Mr. Stabile will be cremated. Burial will be private.
