Joseph Leon Glosson

Mr. Leon Glosson, 76, of Pittsboro, NC, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at The Laurels of Chatham. A native of Orange County, he was born neember 13, 1935, in Chapel Hill, NC, to the late Henry Brodie aneethel Bennett Glosson Leon has the distinction of having honorably served in both the U.S. Army & U.S. Marine Corps. This father of five was a small business owner, a retired truck driver, and was married to the former Leitha Howard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Glosson was preceded ineeath by his sisters, Alice Glosson Oakley, Louise Glosson Rochelle; and his brother, Henry Brodie Glosson, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Leitha Howard Glosson; four sons, Tony Glosson and wife Jenneer, of Pittsboro, Brett Glosson and wife Linda, of Pittsboro, Mark Glosson and wife Margaret, of Chapel Hill, & Jeff Glosson and wife Deanna, of Pittsboro; daughter, Kara Glosson Burke and husband Wayne, of Pittsboro; eleven grandchildren; and his brother, William Glosson and wife Sandra, of Fayetteville, NC. A Memorial Service for Mr. Glosson will be held 4:00PM, Wednesday July 18th, 2012, in the chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Pittsboro, NC.
