Joyce Elizabeth Kirkbride

Joyce Elizabeth Kirkbride neember 13, 1920 - August 14, 2013 Joyce Elizabeth Kirkbride passed away peacefully on August 14th. She was born aneeducated in Londoneengland. She lived and worked there until 1947. On July 5, 1941, she married Thomas Bernard Kirkbride and they had two daughters: Lynn, born in London after World War II, and Lesley, born in the Uneed States. Joyce and Tom lived in Manhasset, New York, Southbury, Connecticut, Geneva, Switzerland and finally North Carolina. Joyce was a member of Christ Uneed Methodist Church and an active member of the Carolina Meadows Community. Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Gschwind and Lesley Anneennett, their husbands, four grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Iris Hazell and family in England. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Memorial donations may be made to the Medical Foundation of North Carolina, Inc., 880 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Chapel Hill, NC 27514, as a memorial for Joyce Kirkbride for the Cardiothoracic Research, Innovation, aneeducation Fund in honor of the Cardiac ICU Unit.
