Joyce Lee Koonce

Durham, NC – Joyce Lee Koonce passed away at Duke Hospital on April 15, 2020 due to complications from Covid-19. She was born in Kinston, NC on November 14, 1939. She was the daughter of Insil Pollock Sullivan and Mary Alice White Sullivan, and preceded in death by her brother Insil Pollock Sullivan, Jr.

She is survived by her son Randy Keith Koonce and her sister Alice Faye Hardee.

Due to the concerns from Covid-19, there was no service held, only a burial service, which was held at Pinelawn Cemetery on April 21, 2020 @ 2:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you contribute to your local charities during this time. A graveside service or gathering will be scheduled at a later time.
