Joyce ThompsoneeHart, 75, of 3632 Cheek Road, died September 9, 2010 peacefully at her home. She was born ineest Durham on May 10, 1935 to the late George Oscar aneeula Victoria Thompson. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Riley W. DeHart, Jr.; two sons, Donald G. DeHart, Sr. of Durham and Darryl L. DeHart of Oxford; one sister, Toni Turner and brother-in-law Harry Adcock of Charlotte; six grandchildren, Branee Kaczmarek, Beth Alsufyani, Kelly DeHart. Nicholas DeHart. Daniel Holleman and Donald G. DeHart, Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Donald Alsufyani, Mariah Alsufyani, Daniel Wood, Ashley Holleman, Amber Holleman, Ashlyn Kaczmarek and Courtney Kacmareck; nieces, Vickie Fisher, Melanie Hancock and Joanne Helms; one very special nephew, Steve Allen of Hartsville, SC and three grandfriends Hope and Donee Platts and Travis Parker. A son Riley Wade DeHart, III, a very special niece, Elizabeth Turner, a brother Tommy Thompson, and sisters, Mary Adcock and Shirley Terry preceded her in eternal rest. A graveside service will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Durham. The family will receive friends at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main Street, Durham from 3-5 PM Sunday.
