Julia Elizabeth Walker

DURHAM: Julia Elizabeth Walker, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 1, 2010. She was born on a 350 acre farm in Butner, NC on July 4, 1923 to the late Ally Walker and Cora Chappell Walker. She was a member of Gorman Baptist Church. She has several siblings, who were stillborn or who lived only months, buried in an unknowneemetery in Old Camp Butner. Also preceding Julia were sisters, Myrtie Goss, Katie Perkins, Violet Brineey, Estelle Harris, Susaneerr and brothers, Maurice, C. E. "Bill", Bobby , Frank and Herbert. Surviving are sisters-in-law Dorothy Walker Oxford, Dootsey Walker Creedmoor and Joyce Walker Salt Lake City; nee nephews and nieces and neerous cousins. Graveside services will be held Wednesday January 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Sherron family Cemetery on the Will Suitt Rd, Creedmoor, by the Rev. Johnny Richards and Rev. Joe Winston. The family will receive friends at the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home in Oxford from 12:00 until 1:15 PM prior to the graveside service. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Durham Rescue Mission, P. O. Box 11858, Durham, NC 27703 or to Granville County Habitat for Humanity, 604 W. Industry Dr. Oxford, NC 27565.
