Mrs. Kathran Richmond Pollok, age 83, resident of 2808 Croasdaile Drive, died Sunday morning in Rose Manor Healthcare Center. Born ineebane, NC, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Jule Richmond and Lyda Mae Howard Richmond. After graduating from Durham High School, Mrs. Pollok started her career as a secretary for many years. She later worked at Modern Litho and Printing for 15 years. For the next twenty years she was an administrative assistant at Kenan Oil Company. Mrs. Pollok was a member of the Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary for 52 years and was the 7th past president of the auxiliary. Mrs. Pollok was a member of Asbury Uneed Methodist Church and a Sunday school teacher for many years. Mrs. Pollok had a zest for living aneenjoyed dancing, the beach and taking cruises. She truly loved people and neer met a stranger. She will be sincerely missed by all that knew her. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, John Norwood Pollok of Durham; one daughter, Kathy P. Bordeaux and husband, David of Hurdle Mills; sister-in-law, Kathy O. Pollok of ; grandchildren, Sterling and Chelsea Bordeaux and Amy and Matthew Pollok and nephews; John and Gene Richmond. She was predeceased by her son, Robert W. Pollok and grandson, Brian Pollok. Funeral Services will be held 2PM Wednesday at Hall-Wynne Chapel. The Rev. Leonard F. Doucette will preside. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Wednesday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home.
