*** Updated burial informationeelow*** Durham, NC ??? Kathryn Mims Tuttle Bergstrom, age 87, died peacefully at Duke Hospital oneeptember 2, 2015.?? She was born in Greensboro, NC to the late Clifford Mims Tuttle and Anee Catherine Petree Tuttle. Kathryn loved to travel???and she did!!?? She was a skilled bridge player, and had a passion for horticulture.?? She enjoyed gardening as well as creating flower arrangements. She was a judge of flower arrangements and horticulture for the N.C. State Fair as well as many other shows across the state. Kathryn was a long time and active member of Epworth Uneed Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 65 years, Jack Bergstrom of Durham; her children; Debra Bergstrom of Durham; Gregg Bergstrom and his wife Mollie of Charlotte, NC; and two grandchildren; Austin and Kathryn-Ruth Bergstrom; and her niece, Jenneer Williams Barrow and family of San Antonio, TX. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday September 12, 2015 at Serenity Place at The Forest at Duke.?? The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be held at a later date at Littlejohn Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery. ***Burial will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Littlejohn Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery, (4120 Littlejohn Rd Lenoir, NC 28645). In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Littlejohn Uneed Methodist Church.
