Kay Nell Creech

Kay Nell Creech died peacefully on August 2, 2018. She was born on April 20, 1939 in Durham, NC and raised in Chapel Hill, NC. She was born to the late James Ernest Maddry and Katherine Collins Maddry. Kay graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 1957 and attended Appalachian State Uneersity for one year. Kay spent most of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading and being an active member of her church, Orange Uneed Methodist Church in Chapel Hill. She had a love for flowers, especially red roses. She loved being surrounded by friends and family. Kay was preceded ineeath by her parents James Ernest Maddry and Katherine Collins Maddry. Kay is survived by her husband of 56 years, William ???Bill??? Creech of Faison, sons Kent Creech (Temple) of Rocky Mount and Karlton Creech (Staci) of Denver, CO and grandson, Worley, of Rocky Mount. A funeral service will be held ineer honor at Orange Uneed Methodist Church in Chapel Hill, NC on Monday, August 6th at 2:00 PM. A burial service will follow at Orange Uneed Methodist Church cemetery with a reception to follow.
