A shooting star streaked beyond the earthly horizon on January 1, 2012, with the death of Durhamite Kiran Paul Zota-Stull. Kiran, age two and one-half, was the ever loving son of Sejal Zota and Brian Stull and steadfast companion of his five-year old brother Kabir. He died in a tragic accident travelling with his family in Mumbai, India. Born in Durham on June 7, 2009, Kiran cast a love spell on all he met with a brilliant smile and infectious laugh. He nursed a passion for his family, song and dance, laughter, water play, all things yellow, tigers and snack time. But his greatest love was for his brother Kabir, whom he requested this year as his only Christmas gift. Kiran's laughter, joy and play filled the halls of Indigo Montessori Preschool where he was a cherished student. He is loved by heartbroken kin from North Carolina to North India, including his masi Rita Zota Washington, D.C., masi and masa Ami Zota and Dave Golombek San Francisco, CA, doting grandparents - nani and nanu Lata and Ramnik Zota Cary, adoring grandmother Mary Stull Clinton Twp., MI, great nani Samuben Parekh Bhuj-Kutch, India, and a host of cousins and communities across the continents. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 A.M. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial in Maplewood Cemetery and a lunch at Tandoor Restaurant on NC 55 will follow. The family invites you to wear Kiran's favorite color yellow.
