OXFORD: Joseph Larry Wilson, age 62 of Oxford, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Granville Medical Center. A native of Oxford, he was the son of Mildred W. Wilson and the late Nelson Wilson. A graduate of JF Webb class of 1967, and attended Crofts Business School, Durham. He was owner and operator of Lewis Electric of Oxford until his retirement in 2010. A member of St. James Catholic Church, a former member of the Oxford Jaycees and Knights of Columbus. A former member of NC Army National Guard. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church, Henderson, NC by Rev. William Long. Burial will follow ineeadowview Memorial Park with military rites. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn E Wilson; his sons, J Larry Wilson II Alison of Oxford , Dr. Christopher Nelson Wilsoneeather of Raleigh, a sister Deborah W. Daniel of Oxford. nee grandchildren: Darrell, Dillon, Lauren, Connor, Mackenee, Riley, Noah, Eleanor, and Aaron. Predeceased by brother, Kenneth Wilson, and brother-in-law, Marvin W. Daniel.
