Laura I. Capps

Laura I. Shane Capps, age 95, of Henderson, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2023. Born in Troy, Ohio, Laura was the daughter of the late Louis Shane and Savilla R. Davidson Shane. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Clinton “Pete” W. Capps, Jr.

Laura is survived by her two daughters, Regina Koshar (Tom) of Yulee, FL and Ladonna Lassiter (Ronnie) of Oxford, NC and one step-son, Harold "Skip” Capps (Sandy). She leaves behind her loving family; Lynea Koshar, Holly Campo (Anthony), Brandon Lassiter, Vicky Staisil (Scott) and great grandchild, Ariel Podlogar

Funeral graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Royster Cemetery, Bullock, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Laura’s name to Bullock Baptist Church, 4078 Buckhorn Rd, Bullock, NC 27507.
