Liam Edmond Pratt

May 18, 2018 — September 13, 2020

DURHAM- Liam Edmond Pratt died peacefully in the arms of his mother and father on September 13th, 2020. He is survived by his parents, Jenna and Logan, his two sisters, Eliza and Josette, his maternal grandparents, Pam and Dean Parker, paternal grandparents, Tek and Ed Pratt, as well as an army of aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him to the moon and back.

Born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, Liam was a fighter from the start. He survived four massive open heart procedures, never losing his spunk or tenacity. Liam loved brass band music and neighborhood walks with his dad. He loved reading books and cuddling his momma. He also loved pulling his sisters’ hair.

Mischievous and sweet are both excellent words to describe this hunk of cuteness. For all the times he would knock off your glasses there would be twice as many tender moments in which Liam would share his pacifier with an upset sister, wrap his arms around your neck in a hug, or blow a thousand kisses to say goodbye.

He was persistent in every goal set before him and eager to celebrate every win with a hearty round of applause. He brought light and joy to everyone he met and his life, though short, changed this world for the better.

A family-only visitation will be held at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in the chapel on Friday, September 18th at 3 pm followed by a closed service at 4. Due to COVID-19 and our wish that Liam’s memorial be a safe place, there will be live streaming of the event- a link will be available below.
