Lillian Eugenia Bouldin Vaughan, 87, of Hickory, died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Carolina Rehab Center. Borneebruary 18, 1921 in Randolph County, she was the daughter of James Frank Bouldin aneelizabeth Creed Bouldin. Lillian was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Vale, and her home church was Emmaus Baptist in Pittsboro. She retired from Singer Furniture; and was the widow of the Rev. Walter Benson Vaughan, to whom she was married for 52 years. Survivors include a soneeugene "Gene" Vaughan and wife Kay of Hudson; daughters, Deborah Smith and Susan Williams, both of Hickory, LaMyra Pearson and husband David of Granee Falls; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Elmer Bouldin, Arthur Bouldin, Raymond Bouldin and Rev. Robert Bouldin, all of Pittsboro. In addition to her parents and her husband, Lillian was predeceased by her brothers, Edgar, Wilbur, and Charlie Bouldin. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 27 at Emmaus Baptist Church in Pittsboro, with Rev. Steve Moore, Rev. William Kanupp, and Rev. Robert Bouldin presiding. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church cemetery in the White Cross community of Chapel Hill. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Monday at Emmaus Baptist Church in Pittsboro. Visitation will also be held from 7:00- 8:30 pm Sunday at Hickory Funeral Home.
