Lillian Julian

Lillian Julian, age 88, died peacefully at Hillcrest Convalescent Center in Durham, NC on Monday, January 18, 2016. Lillian was born in Youngstown, OH on April 2, 1927 to the late George and Veronica Stanislaw Turek. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in northern Durham. In October 2014, Lillian was honeed by the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Durham #1576, for her 50 years of membership. Lillian is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Turek of Marietta, GA and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Dr. Leonard Julian and her brother, William Turek. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016 at St. Matthew Catholic Church by Father Thanh Nguyen followed by burial in St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit one hour prior to the mass in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church Building Fund, 1001 Mason Rd., Durham, NC 27712.
