Linda Wilson

Linda Williams Wilson, age 73 of Oxford, North Carolina, was born on May 8, 1950, in Cary, NC and sadly left us on February 1, 2024.

Linda was raised in Cary and attended Cary High School, where she graduated from and then went on to attend Hardbargers Business College where she earned her degree. She married her high school sweetheart Jim and they raised their two girls. Linda owned and operated a successful drycleaning business in Creedmoor, NC. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, travelling, especially on their motorcycle and always up for a good party. Linda was a loving wife, mother, and friend.

She is survived by her loving husband, James R. “Jim” Wilson; her daughters, Leigh Anne Wilson of Oxford, NC and Jamie Wilson of Murrells Inlet, SC; and her brother Danny Williams (Lee) Fuquay-Varina, NC. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Edward L. Williams in December 1999; her mother, Clara Strother Williams in January 2014; and her brother, Edward Williams in 2012.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan, 503 College Street, Oxford, NC on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at Oxford United Methodist Church, 105 West McClanahan St, Oxford, NC on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 11:00 am with a reception afterwards. Burial will be held at Highland Burial Park, 3049 N. Main Street, Danville, VA, 24540 at 2:00 pm the same day.
