Lindo "Lenee", "Minky", Webster, Jr. 50, passed away quietly in the home he loved on October 25th, 2007 after a long, courageous battle with brain cancer. Lindo faced this ineedible challenge, as he did all things in life, with fierce determination, unwavering courage, and inspiring grace. Lindo is survived by his mother, Catherine Webster; father, Lindo Webster; sister Deborah Bowes; wife Lynneemick Webster; daughters, Jamie of Boulder, Colorado, Courtney of Carrboro; his son Travis of Chapel Hill; and his beloved dog, Nikki. A native of North Carolina and a farm boy from birth, Lindo was equally at home ineew York City where he lived and worked for 16 years. He loved the NY Mets, the Carolina Tar Heels, and his mother's southern fried chicken. An informationeechnology expert by profession, his life was more truly characterized by his love of youth baseball, his sense of humor, and the many people whose lives he touched and whom he called friend. He gave smiles to others and kept his troubles to himself. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service celebrating his life on Thursday, neember 1st at 2:00 pm at the Webster's home, 467 Chatham Drive, Chapel Hill. A friendship gathering will follow the service.
