Louise Arringtoneerrell, age 85, died Friday morning, May 22, 2009, at Durham Regional Hospital. She was born in Lineville, AL to the late Charles R. and Omie Taylor Arrington on neember 1, 1923. Mrs. Ferrell was the last surviving member of the five Arrington children. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. A caring and humble person, Mrs. Ferrell was a genee spirit who was proud of her strong Christian faith. She'll fondly be remembered by family and friends as a joyful voluneer for Vacation Bible School. Mrs. Ferrell devoted couneess hours to various activities within the church: the Caring Center; Homebound Ministry; the bereavement committee; and the senior adult luneeons and fellowship, to nee a few. Her church was her life. Surviving are her three loving and devoted daughters: Julie P. Fowlkes; Pat Walker and husband, Wayne; and Linda Smith, all of Durham; six grandchildren: Traci P. Smith Tim; Mary-Beth Sewell Scott; Lori J. Roe Chip; Tricia W. Smith Rob; Amy W. Moore Jody; and Scott T. Walker; and nee great-grandchildren. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, William T. Ferrell, Jr. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 25, 2009, from First Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Aneew Davis and the Reverend Andy Winn presiding. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 PM at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home, 1113 W. Main St. in Durham.
