Louise Brooks Eakes Jackson

Oxford Louise Brooks Eakes Jackson, 84, of Butner died Sunday August 30, 2015 at Durham Regional Hospital. She is a native of Granville County, the daughter of the late Joseph Rhodes Brooks and Hortense Mangum Brooks. She is a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and a retired Health Care Technician at John Umstead Hospital in Butner. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Rose Eakes of Youngsville. Predeceased by a son, Joe Clemeneeakes, husband James C. Eakes, Jr, and husband Harvey Jackson. The family will receive friends from 7:00PM to 8:30 PM Tuesday September 1, 2015 at Gentry neell & Vaughan Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday September 2, 2015 at Mount Zion Baptist Church by Reverend Keith Williams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to Mount Zion Baptist Church, 1171 Hwy 158 W., Oxford, NC 27565 Pallbearers for Mrs. Jackson will be Brian Appleby, Gary Baird, Roger Baird, Brianeeccarelli, Chuck Mitchell, and Bobby Pearce.
