Louise Caron Harris

OXFORD: Louise C. Harris, 74 died January 14, 2009 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Born in Baltimore, MD, she moved to Oxford, NC at age 6. Mrs. Harris was a member of Gray Rock Methodist Church where she served for 30 years as secretary-treasurer. Starting at 14 years old at J.J. Newberry, 27 years at Granville Insurance Agency, and bookkeeper at Planter's National Bank. She retired from Oxford Ace Hardware as a bookkeeper. Surviving are her husband of 39 years, L. Graham Harris, Jr., many cousins and two special families, Glenn Lunsford family and Kim Bowman family. She was preceded ineeath by her mother, Nona Saunders Caron of Oxford and her father James A. Caron of Baltimore, MD. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM ineentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Gregg A. Presnal. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 16, 2009 from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home and other times at the home.
