Mrs. Louise Edwards Lamm, age 87, resident of Durham died Monday , January 10, 2011 at Durham Regional Hospital. Born in Spring Hope, NC, she was the daughter of the late William and Ada Abernathy Edwards. Mrs. Lamm was the co-founder and owner of Certified Electrolysis Service of Durham. She was predeceased by her husband, Opie Gordon Lamm and her son, Gordon Lamm. She was a member of Calvary Uneed Methodist Church. Mrs. Lamm will be remembered as a loving and caring mother of her son and her home. Surviving are her son, Jimmy S. Lamm and his wife, Hazel, of Durham; foster daughter, Kaye Bowman and husband Dean of Winston-Salem; daughter-in-law, Jean Jones and husband, Leo of Durham; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, January 14, 2011 at Oak Dale Cemetery, Spring Hope, NC. Presiding will be the Rev. Laurie Hays Coffman. Visitation will be at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday and all other times at the home of her son. Pallbearers will be Michael Edwards, Marshall Edwards, Elton Edwards, Harold Lamm, Billy Nance and Paul Nance.
