Louise Owens Roberson

Mrs. Louise Owens Roberson, 84, formerly of Pete Roberson Road, Pittsboro, died April 14, 2012 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitationeenter. Mrs. Roberson was born in Randolph County on March 12, 1928, the daughter of Jonah Franklin Owens and Myrtis Williamson Owens. Prior to her retirement, Mrs.Roberson worked ineextiles as a pairer for Siler City Mfg. Co.. An avid baker, Mrs. Roberson was known for her wonderful cakes sheet, layer, etc. that she loved to share with friends and neighbors. She liked raw turnips; and, also cooking potato and onion soup that she took to folks when they were sick. Mrs. Roberson was most passionee about quilting, she enjoyed having made and sharing quits for years for family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Roberson of the home; sons, James Roberson of Pittsboro and David Roberson of New Hill; a brother, Paul Owen of Allentown, PA; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roberson was preceded ineeath by her husband, Everett M. Roberson, and five brothers and sisters. The service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Louise Owens Roberson will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, April 17, 2012 at Chatham Uneed Methodist Church with the Reverends Patrick Sinclair and Bob Wachs presiding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with Mrs. Roberson's family on Monday evening from 6:00 8:00 pm at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro; and, at other times at the residence of Mrs. Tanya Purgeson.
