Magie Estelle Woody

OXFORD: Mrs. Estelle Woody, age 92 of 6612 Hicksboro Road, died Wednesday September 10, 2008. She was a native of Granville Co. and was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Gracie Burnette Critcher. She was retired from J. C. Penny Co. and a member of Island Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P. M. Friday September 12, 2008 from Island Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. J. Marshall Neathery. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving is one daughter Linda Gracie Woody of the home; one sister, Mrs. Catherine C. Laws of Oxford. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, C. L. "Buster" Woody and three sisters, Mary C. Puckett, Betty C. Bandy and Frances C. Polk. The family will receive friends 7:00 until 8:30 PM Thursday night at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College St., Oxford, NC 27565 and at other times they will be at the home.
