DURHAM: Malcolm Henderson Rourk, III, 53, died May 26 in Duke Regional Hospital from injuries resulting from an accident April 2, 2016. Born May 5, 1963 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Malcolm Henderson Rourk, Jr. MD, and Jane Davis Rourk of Durham. Malcolm graduated from Culver Military Academy, Culver, IN, after which he attended Cenee College in Danville, KY. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. Malcolm was an organizing member of the Durham Boychoir, now North Carolina Boys Choir, and a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was an avid sports enthusiast, appreciated good music and movies. As a UNC fan, Malcolm enjoyed watching basketball games and attending football games ineenan Stadium. He was employed at Tyler???s Restaurant. In addition to his parents, Malcolm leaves his sisters, Caroline Davis Rourk of Durham aneelizabeth Rourk Hayden and husband, John of Louisville, KY; his brother, Peter J. Rourk, wife, Karen, and nephew, Davis William Rourk of Cedar Grove, NC; his aunt and unee, Elizabeth and W. Javan Davis of Rougemont, NC; and aunt, Marie Rourk Harrison of Shallotte, NC. Malcolm was preceded ineeath by his grandparents, J. Van Davis and Margaret Smith Davis, and Malcolm Henderson Rourk, MD and Marie Foscue Rourk. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 1, from First Presbyterian Church, Durham, with the Revd. Mindy Douglas, the Revd. Sam Miglarese and the Revd. Marilyneedgpeth officiating.
