Margie Kirk Pegram

Margie Kirk Pegram, age 100, passed away at her home on August 17, 2021. She was born in Orange County, NC on January 6, 1921 to Lil Ray Kirk and Ralph A. Kirk.
Margie lived in Durham her entire life, was a long time member of Temple Baptist Church, and spent most of her career as a supervisor in the Duke Hospital Out Patient Clinic. In that management position she was highly thought of by her employees and the Duke medical staff. In retirement, she remained in touch with many of her employees who referred to themselves as "Margie's Girls". Margie was a lifetime fan of Duke football and basketball, attending games well into he her 80's. Although she and her husband "B" did not have children, they played an important role as second parents to a number of cousins.
A private burial will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, Durham, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
