Maria "Mary" Szadek

Maria (Mary) Burak Szadek, 93, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on neember 21, 2019. She was born in Buraczki, Poland oneecember 10, 1925. After WWII ineecember 1951, Mary and her late husband, Joseph John Szadek, came to the Uneed States. On June 6, 1958, she became a citizen of the Uneed States of America in the US District Middle Court of NC in Greensboro. She worked at the Durham Hosiery Mill for a number of years. She loved being a mother and grandmother. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Maria is survived by her daughter, Helen Champion of Rougemont; son, James Szadek of Butner; sister-in-law, Christina Anderson of Durham; grandsons Wayne Champion, Daniel Szadek and AJ Szadek and five great-grandchildreneethan Champion, Adrien Szadek, Eevie Szadek, Tanner Champion and Piper Szadek. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Joseph Szadek; son, Louis Szadek and grandson, Richard Champion. A visitation will be held on Monday, neember 25, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Durham, NC. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Maplewood Cemetery, Durham, NC. The Szadek family is under the care of Hall-Wynne Funeral Services.
