Marilyn J. Noblin, age 83, died on January 27, 2022, at Granville Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Caswell Spencer, Sr., and Edna Blackwell Spencer. Marilyn was born in Franklin County on December 24, 1938.
Marilyn was a woman of faith and a strong work ethic. She loved her Church, her family, and her friends. Marilyn loved to cook for all and dearly loved her close relationship with her cousins, especially daily conversations shared. She graduated Fuller’s Business School and went to work for C.G. Credle as a secretary and then with the Granville County Chamber of Commerce as Administrative Assistant and as a bookkeeper for Joe Bryan and Associates throughout her working years. She was a loving mother and took wonderful care of her family.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Dan Vickers Noblin, Jr. (Terri) and Donna Marie Noblin West (Ricky); her grandchildren, Dan Vickers Noblin, III, Madison West (Kelly) and Everett West (Wararat); her great grandchildren, Benjamin, and Lana. She will also be deeply missed by loving friends and family too numerous to name.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dan V. Noblin, her parents and her brother, Caswell Spencer, Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Oxford United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Jenny Wilson. The family welcomes any visitors at visitation in the Fellowship Hall from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm before the service. Please utilize masks and social distancing to protect all the family and friends. Burial will follow at Meadowview Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in her honor to the at Oxford United Methodist Church.
