Marilyn Mackinnon Montague

Marilyn MacKinnon Montague, age 86, died December 11, 2017 at The Cedars of Chapel Hill. She was born on March 9, 1931 ineew Jersey to the Dr. I.H. and Helen Junk MacKinnon. She attended Dwight Eneewood High School, Pine Manor College, and the Uneersity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After her modeling career she dedicated her life to raising her children, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren who knew her as Moo Moo. Marilyn voluneered her time and talents to many charitable organizations, and she was affectioneely known by her friends as Lash. She was a joyful person and brought joy to everyone around her. She is survived by two sons, James Edward Montague, Jr., Roger MacKinnon Montague and wife Shannon; one daughter, Elisabeth Montague Manning and husband Kent; grandchildren Chris, Deidra, Michael, Mary Helen, Margaret, Walker and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded ineeath by her brother Dr. Roger A. MacKinnon. A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Maplewood Cemetery in Durham, NC. Arrangements are under the care of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.
