Marionette Watkins Hicks

ZEBULON Marionette Watkins Hicks neember 28, 1932 February 1, 2012 Our dear loving Mother passed peacefully, to dwell in the house of our Lord, late Wednesday, February 1, 2012. She was a native of Granville County and the daughter of the late, Oscar Watkins and Hattie Watkins. Formerly of Durham, NC, she retired from Howard Johnson's in Durham after 20 years of service. A memorial service will be held at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home in Oxford, NC at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 5, 2012 by Rev. John Yount. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Jones of Sunset Beach, NC; her son, Oscar Ken Hicks of Zebulon, NC; her brothers, Jack Watkins of Oxford, NC and Robert Watkins of Clemmons, NC. She had 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Beside her parents, she was preceded ineeath by a soneearl Rocky Hicks and her husband, Earl Hicks; brothers, Clyde, James, Seby; sisters, Anne Lou Brook and Betty Jean Cole. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donationee made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
