Marjorie Collins Layton

Marjorie Collins Layton, age 97 of Franklinton, died Saturday, December 28, 2013. A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Ollie M. and Geneva May Collins and the widow of Johnee Layton. Marjorie retired from Burlington Industries, was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church and a homemaker. Surviving are her son, Winston M. Layton Mary of Nashville; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and two step-grandsons. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Franklinton Baptist Church, 102 W. Mason Street, Franklinton, NC 27525. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Hall-Wynne Chapel by Reverend David Averette. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
