Marjorie Deaneebb, 83, died Saturday in Duke Hospital following a period of declining health. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Maggie Scarboro Dean. A graduate of Peace College, Mrs. Webb spent over 30 years working in the business office of the V.A. Medical Center. She was a devoted member of Epworth Uneed Methodist Church. A long time resident of Hope Valley, she loved gardening, and for many years, was a member of the local Garden Club. A genee and loving spirit, Marjorie blended feistiness with gracefulness and refineent. Her nieces and nephews became the children she neer had, and she faithfully and generously remembered them on every holiday and special occasion. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Raymond M. Webb; her niece, Judy Price of Asheville, her great nephew Allen Price of Asheville and great niece, Natalie Waggett of Wilmington. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday from Epworth Uneed Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Gene Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
