Martha B. Edgerton

Martha Anne Bryaneedgerton, age 64, resident of Pendergrass Street, died Saturday evening at Durham Regional Hospital. Born in Durham, Martha was the daughter of the late Iris Southerland Bryant and Posey Leon Bryant. She was a graduate of Northern High School, where she was a cheerleader. Martha attended East Carolina Uneersity. She was married for 30 years to the late Bayard F. "Tex" Edgerton. Martha was employed for 35 years with Dr. James S. Wilson, Sr and Dr. James S. Wilson, Jr. She was a member of Mt. Bethel Uneed Methodist Church. Martha will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her work and family. Surviving are a daughter, Anneedgerton Pajel and her husband, Anjou of Durham and granddaughter, Anja Pajel of Durham. Graveside memorial services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in the Mt. Bethel Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery. Michael Poole and Jerry Britt will preside. The family will greet friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adams's Way, Raneeman, NC 27317.
