Martha Hebbert Wilsoneecently celebrated her 99th birthday by blowing out all the canees in one breath. She believes in doing things right the first time. Mrs. Wilson was born in Little Rock, AK on 21 July 1908; grew up in Nutley, NJ, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Syracuse Uneersity in 1930. She moved with her late husband, Charles Thomas Wilson to Durham, NC in 1934 where they raised three children: Charles T. Wilson, Jr. and Ralph E. Wilson, currently living in Durham and Martha Jane Kessler who lives in Windermere, FL. After moving to Durham in 1934, Mrs. Wilson was a leader for positive change in many arenas.
