Mary Carroll Foss

DURHAM- Mary Carroll Foss, age 58, passed away at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 25, 2023. 

She was born in Charlotte North Carolina on May 19, 1965, the beloved daughter of Harriet and Carroll Taylor. Mary spent her childhood in Durham, NC and graduated from Northern High School in 1983. She served in the United States Army, where she received training in the field of Biomedical Equipment Technology. She later moved to Massachusetts and worked for a variety of hospitals and companies as a Biomedical Equipment Technician in the Boston area.

Mary enjoyed doing arts and crafts, painting and meeting people. Mary was an avid animal lover, acquiring a sizable number of pets over her lifetime. She will be greatly missed by her two beloved cats, Snickers and Spot.

Mary is survived by her husband, Joel Foss; her parents, Harriet and Carroll Taylor; her three sisters, Stella Taylor, Karen Munson (Daniel) and Susan Whitt (Robert); her brother Jon Taylor; nephews, David Taylor, Gregory Taylor, Matthew Munson; step-son, Jeremy Foss; step-daughter, Jennifer Klander (Joe) and step-granddaughters Lola and Stella Klander,

Graveside services were held at St. Matthews Catholic Cemetery on August 4, 2023.
