Mary Elizabeth Thrift

Mary Elizabeth Thrift ???Elizabeth???, 91, of Pittsboro passed away peacefully at Cambridge Hills on August 28, 2014. She was born on August 17, 1923 in Chatham County, NC, daughter of the late Gurney and Julia Bryant Farrell. Elizabeth was preceded ineeath by her husband, Lebon Thrift, two sisters, and one brother. She is survived by her two sons, Reid Hill of Pittsboro and Dennis Thrift (Denee) of Midland, TX, two daughters, Shirley H. Moore (Kenny) and Linda H. Clark, both of Pittsboro. She has four grandchildren, Rhonda C. Webster (Jay), Janee C. Warfford (Chris) all of Pittsboro and Jenneer H. McNemar (Dan) of North Canton, OH and Jeffrey Thrift (Valentina) of Allen, TX. In addition she has two step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. A?? graveside service??will be??held at 3 pm on Sunday August 31, 2014, at Hanks Chapel Christian Church, 190 Hanks Loop Road, Pittsboro, NC. The Rev. Bob Wachs will officiate the service. The family??will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the burial. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to UNC Hospice of Pittsboro, PO Box 1077, Pittsboro, NC 27312. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Cambridge Hills for many acts of kineess shown to her during her years of residence there.
