OXFORD: Mary Frances Cole Jones, age 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 9, 2014. Mary Frances was a native of Granville County and the daughter of the late Alleneewis and Rosa Lee Puckett Cole, Sr. She was a faithful member of Hester Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Murdoch Center. She is survived by her husband of 68 years L. Douglas Jones. Preceding her ineeath was her brother, Charles Cole; sisters, Linda Lee Cole and Shirley Cole Faulkner; brother-in-law, Robert Ball; sister-in-law Pat May Cole and sister-in-law and brother-in-law James and Mildred Jones Swann. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Hester Baptist Church by Rev. Alex Gallimore. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. At other times the family will be at the home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Sheila Jones Gresham Doug of Oxford, Diane Jones Fairey David of Henderson, Conee Jones Sullivaneevin of Raleigh; 7 granchildren, Neil Gresham Lynn, Michael Gresham Crystal and Kelly Cash Joey of Oxford, David Fairey Amanda of Virgilina, Nicole Munn Chris of Henderson, and Megan and Mary Cole Sullivan of Raleigh; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers Lewis Cole Carolyn of Kittrell, James Cole Jane of Kittrell, Dennis Cole of Yanceyville and Bobby Cole Ann of Oxford; sisters Joyce Ball of Dallas, TX, Judy Milton Joe of Wilton, Ann Kittrell Jerry of Goldsboro, Elaine Hillard Edgar of Henderson, Mildred Jackson Willard of Kittrell, sister-in-law Janet Cole of Henderson, brother-in-law Joel Wilton Faulkner of Louisburg; nephews, Bob Swann Mary Ann of GA, Jeff Swann Cathy of FL and Doug Swann Starr of TN and more than 83 Cole family nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank special friends Kim Wilson, Bess Reese, and Theresa Beckman and niece LeAnn Cox for their loving care and kineess.
