BELMONT - Mary K. O'Neill, died May 17, 2008, from complications following a long illness. Mary was born May 10, 1938, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and has lived in North Carolina for 44 years. She raised her family ineelmont, N.C. She theneent on to earneer bachelors degree from Sacred Heart College ineelmont. She continued her education and received her Masters degree from UNC ineehabilitation Counseling. She has worked in that field for the past 20 years. Mary was a devoted member of Holy Infant Catholic Church in Durham, N.C. She was active in the yarn ministry and bible study. Surviving are her daughters, Peggy Morrow and husband, Bill, Leslie Smollen and husband Chris; son, Rob O'Neill; grandchildreneerin Adams and Luke Smollen; great-grandson, Jack Tucker; her brother, Chet Kalenty and wife Lottie; sister, Jane Zach; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Predeceased are her brother Rev. Adalbert Kalenty, OFM; and sister, Lillianeerhune. Friends may visit 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main St., Durham, N.C. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. Wednesday from Holy Infant Catholic Church in Durham, N.C.
