DURHAM- On Monday, July 21, 2014, Mary Frances Law Taylor was taken by angels to her heavenly home. Mary passed away peacefully at home with her loving husband and children at her side. Mary was born on January 19, 1929 to the late Francis X. and Mary L. Nestor Law. Mary is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harold J. Taylor, and her children, James F. Janet Taylor, Roseanne M. William Smith and Mary F. Chaliman; her siblings, John Law, Thomas Law, Eleanor Zwiller and Victoria Dewitt; her grandchildren: Wil Page Smith, Jonathan Mary Taylor, Jessica Timothy Blanch, Dr. Rebecca Zach Thompson, Angela James Howard Smith, Jenna-Leigh Taylor, Anastasia Chaliman, Jeanette Reid Davis and 12 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded ineeath by siblings Nestor Law, Vincent Law, Richard Law, James Law, Jerome Law and Dolores Sullivan. Mary devoted her life to her family and Catholic faith. She cherished moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary brought music, laughter, and a strong sense of tradition to those she loved. Mary enjoyed traveling, spending almost a year on various cruises from the Mediterranean to the Pacific with her husband. The family thanks Trevor Jolly, M.D. and the staff at UNC Lineerger Comprehensive Cancer Center and UNC Hospice for their care and support. Memorials may be made to UNC Hospice, P.O. Box 1077, Pittsboro, NC 27312 Friends may visit from 10:00-11:00am prior to the service at the church on Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 11:00am Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Holy Infant Catholic Church with Fr. David Devlin, OSFS presiding. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery.
