Mary Lillian Dixon

Mary L. Dixon, 89, of Pittsboro, died Friday, February 11, 2011 ineer home. A Chatham County native, Mary was born January 31, 1922 to Freeman Hilliard and Katie Beckwith Hilliard. Mary was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She attended Pittsboro Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Nesbitt Dixon of Pittsboro; daughters, Glenda Dixon of Pittsboro and Vivian Dixon Overton husband, Benny Overton of Oxford; brother, Beckwith Hilliard of Fallston, MD; grandsons, Nathan Crow of Cullowhee and Justin Crow of Raleigh; great granddaughter, Ava Crow. The service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 14, at Pittsboro Baptist Church in Pittsboro with Rev. Dr. Tripp Harmon presiding.
