Mary Michelle Barmore

Mary Michele Barmore, age 43, died Saturday, February 7, 2009. Born inees Moines, IA, she was the daughter of Susan M. Hutson and the late Charles J. Hutsoneesq. Although raised in the heartlands of Iowa, Michelle was a tried and true Tar Heel fan and loved Carolina/NCAA basketball. Memories of her shouts of jubilation as her favorite team marched forward will always remain. She loved camping with her family during their yearly jaunts to Roan Mountain, where the entire family came together and occupied the entire mountain top. But her greatest passion was her children, James and Jacque, who she tried to raise with purpose, strength and dignity in spite of her having struggled with a consuming disease for over 30 years. Her success is reflected ineer children's intelligence, compassion and tenacity. Michelle attended nursing school for three years before her illness prevented her from going further, but she neer quit learning, and always hoped to one day practice a profession that helped other people. Mary Michelle is survived by her mother, Susan M. Hutson of Burlington, NC; her daughter, Jacqueline Grace Barmore of Durham, NC; her son, James N. Barmore of Orlando, FL; her sisters: Mary C. Cook and husband, Jim, of Charleston, SC; Darcie Miller and husband, Rodney, of Garner, NC; Jackie Hutson Willingham and husband, Jeremy, of Winston-Salem, NC; her brothers: Joey Evans and wife, Laurie Rast, of West Des Moines, IA; Tony Hutson of Burlington; Chuck Hutson of Newport, IN; nephews: Alex Polenz and Wyatt Miller of Garner, NC; her former husband, David R. Barmore, of Clearwater, FL; and faithful companion, Joseph Natale of Saratoga Springs, NY. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 13, 2009 from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main St. in Durham. Friends may visit Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home.
