Michael Patrick Harper

Michael Patrick Harper, beloved son of Ruth and Rick Harper, passed away at age 27 on March 17, 2018, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Michael was born in Boston, MA, and graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 2008. He attended Stonybrook Uneersity, where he studied Psychology and Pre-Med and was a member of the uneersity's a capella group, the High C's. Michael was musically gifted and could play many instruments. Michael enjoyed his first job of teaching music at Cresset Academy, and was most happy on worship teams singing, or playing the guitar, drums or piano. Recently he attended Cape Fear Community College studying Chemistry with an emphasis in Food Science, and was one course away from graduation. Michael's passion was cooking and working as a chef in a variety of restaurants, most recently at City Kitchen in Uneersity Mall, Chapel Hill-where he was known as Mike. A memorial service will be held for Michael at 2PM on April 14, 2018, at Orange Uneed Methodist Church, 1220 M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Chapel Hill, NC, 27514.
