Myrtle Lois King

Ms. Myrtle Lois King, 91, of Durham, passed away early Sunday morning, May 18, 2008 at Duke Hospice at Meadowlands. She was born in Durham, the daughter of the late William Luther and Oma Ivey King. Lois was employed as a secretary for Nello L. Teer Company for many years. She was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church in Orange County. Lois is preceded ineeath by brother's William Duncan King, John Franklin King and wife Anee. She is survived by her brother William Luther King Jr., and wife Ruth, sister-in-law Elsie King, and neerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 21 at Mt. Herman Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Andy Byers. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to service from 12:30 to 2:00 at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Herman Baptist Church, 4511 Old NC 10, Durham, NC 27705.
