Myrtle Newby Connell

Myrtle Newby Connell, age 86, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Granville Medical Center. A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Newby and Sallie Faucette Connell and the widow of Johneelson Connell. Myrtle was of the Methodist faith and was retired from N.C. State Uneersity, where she worked as an accountant. She worked for Yancey Chevrolet in Oxford before moving to Raleigh. Funeral services will be conduct on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home by Reverend John Yount. Burial will follow at Meadowview Memorial Park in Oxford. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded ineeath by Sallie Faucette, Jenee Bell Faucette, Lizzie Leigh Cole, Charlie Newby, William Newby, Jimmy Newby. Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home is assisting the Connell family.
