OXFORD: Nancy Jean Davis, age 54, of 230 Saddletree Road, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Duke Medical Center. She was a native Oconee, SC and the daughter of the late Sam T. and Mildred Hare Davis. Nancy was a member of Oxford Baptist Church and a paralegal with Norman Thorp, Attorney at Law. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 3:00 PM from First Baptist Church in Toccoa, GA. Burial will follow in Roselane Cemetery. Surviving is her husband, Gary T. Davis of the home. The family will receive friends Friday, October 2, 2009 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Gentry-neell and Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street, Oxford, NC. and on Sunday, October 4, 2009 the family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM from Acree-Davis Funeral Home, 90 South Pond Street, Toccoa, GA.
