Nell Holmes Cyrus

Nell Holmes Cyrus, 93, died September 19, 2010 after an extended illness. Nell was born on Jan. 18, 1917 to the late Herbert and Irene Holmes. She was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church and WMU. Nell was employed by Burlington Industries for 38 years. One of her greatest pleasures was family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Holmes Newton, of Creedmoor; four nieces aneeight nephews. Nell was preceded ineeath by her husband, William "Bill" Cyrus, sisters, Luvene Holmes Spence and Ann Holmes Collins, brothers, Graham and Henry Holmes. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010 2:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton with Rev. David Averette officiating Memorial contributions may be made to Franklinton Baptist Church, 102 W. Mason Street, Franklinton, NC 27525.
