Octavia Mcrae Schoolfield

Octavia McRae Schoolfield passed away May 7th 2008 at her home in Durham. She was born May12, 1922 in Charlotte to William P. and Virginia McRae of Rockingham. After graduating from St. Mary's College and Duke Uneersity, she maneed extensive real estate interests in the Sandhills. Ineecent years she was very active in voluneer work, most notably with Duke Medical Center and the North Carolina Museum of the Arts. Ms. Schoolfield is survived by her sons William McRae Schoolfield , Henry Ormond Schoolfield and John Harrell Schoolfield , and grandchildren William Henry Schoolfield, Jacob Donald Schoolfield , Suzanne McRae Schoolfield aneelizabeth Ann Schoolfield. She was preceded ineeath by her sister, Virginia McRae Guthrie. A graveside service will be held at the East Side Cemetery, Rockingham, NC, at 11:00 on Saturday May 10th.
