OXFORD: Ollie Lee Bowling, IV, age 24 a resident of Providence, died Tuesday night in an automobile accident. He was a native of Granville Co. and was the son of Ollie Lee Bowling, III of Oxford and Roberta Hobbs of Lake Gaston. He was employed with Womack Electrical Company, a member of Providence Baptist Church and Providence Fire Department. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Chapel by Dr. Randy Pittman. Burial will be in the Bowling Family Cemetery. Surviving in addition to his parents are; his paternal grandmother, Mary Walker Bowling of Oxford, maternal grandmother, Ruby Poythress of Lake Gaston; half brother, Chris Pullen of Oxford, several aunts and unees. He was preceded ineeath by his paternal grandfather, Ollie Lee Bowling, Jr. and maternal grandfather Jesse Lee Hobbs. The family will receive friends Friday night December 23, 2011 from 7:00 until 8:30 at the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of his grandmother in Providence. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Providence Fire Department, c/o Amos H.
